Privacy Policy

Effective date: September 1, 2026  ·  App version 1.0

PrayIt collects no personal data and sends none to us.

Everything you enter stays on your device and in your own iCloud account. We have no servers, no analytics, and no way to access your information.

What data does the app store?

PrayIt stores only what you explicitly enter:

  • Prayer categories and their order
  • People and events, with any notes you add
  • Prayer requests, their schedules and end dates, and whether they've been answered
  • Dated updates and answer notes on those requests
  • Devotional entries you write yourself
  • App preferences (devotional source, people-list style, schedule balancing)

This data is stored in two places only: locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework, and in your personal iCloud account if iCloud is enabled. Neither location is accessible to us.

Does the app collect analytics or crash reports?

No. PrayIt contains no analytics SDK, no crash reporting service, and no telemetry of any kind. We receive no data about how you use the app.

Does the app use advertising or tracking?

No. There are no ads, no tracking pixels, and no third-party SDKs. The app makes no network requests to any server we operate or any third-party service.

iCloud sync

If you have iCloud enabled on your device, your data syncs to Apple's iCloud servers under your own Apple ID. This sync is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. We have no access to your iCloud data.

Notifications

PrayIt does not send notifications and requests no notification permission.

App lock (PIN and Face ID)

You can optionally lock PrayIt with a 4-digit PIN. The PIN is stored only on that device, in the iOS Keychain, as a salted hash — it does not sync to iCloud, is not included in backups you export, and is never sent anywhere. Face ID and Touch ID are handled entirely by iOS: the app only learns whether the check succeeded and never receives any biometric data. The lock keeps others out of an unlocked phone; it does not encrypt your data.

Sharing a prayer request

If you choose to share a request, PrayIt builds a link that contains that request's text, the person or event name, and its last day, and hands it to the iOS share sheet — you decide who receives it and through which app. The information is carried inside the link itself (after the "#"), which web browsers do not send to the website. Nothing is stored on our website or any server, and we receive no copy.

Bundled content

The Spurgeon Morning and Evening and Streams in the Desert devotionals are public-domain texts included in the app itself. Selecting them makes no network request.

Children's privacy

PrayIt does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. The app contains no features directed at children.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the effective date above and note the change in the app's release notes.
